- Sasha is a female black and tan Doberman. She is going to be 3 years old 18 Decenber 1999,
Sasha is 30 inchs tall and weighs 80 lbs. Sasha has bees in school since she was 12 weeks old,
she attends school everyday Saturday morning. I believe obendience training is very important
and is fun for the dog. It is there time to show off to all their little doggie buddies.
Continnuing education for a dog, any dog just not a Doberman is highly recommended.
It is used as a reminder to them who the boss is. The dog really respects you, if you have
controll and give them instructions.
Sasha is also my water baby. If she sees a hose that is on, you had better "RUN FOR COVER". Because here she comes with hose in mouth and ready to soak you. You can see the smile on her face when she is getting ready to do something wrong.
Miss Sasha is known around our house as "Queen Sasha", what she wants she gets.
- Spencer is a male black and tan Doberman and is Sasha's litter mate.
He will also be 3 years old on 18 December 1999, and is 32 inches tall and weighs 95 lbs.
Spencer is a very big boy, he is one of the largest Dobermans I have ever seen.
Spencer experenced a great deal of growing pains between 4 to 7 months.
At 7 months we found out he had a severe case of Hip Dsyplasa, not just in one hip but both of them.
Two weeks before his first birthday he under went major hip surgery.
It was a 5 hour surgery, and took about six weeks to recover.
Eight weeks after his first surgery he went in for the second hip to be done.
This time Spencer had a great deal of trouble. During the replacement of the hip they pinched of the Urthrea,
which made it were he could not urinate. He had to go back to the doctors everyday
for two weeks to have a catater passed. On the 14 days the surgeon took a look at
him and decided they had to do surgery again, this was his third surgery within 2 1/2 months.
Once again Spencer had a very hard time recovering and ended up in U.C. Davis for 7 days.
Thank goodness that is now all behind us and Spencer recovered very well.
Needless to say now Spencer is now a very BIG spoiled rotten BRAT.
- Tiffany is our little pound puppy.
Tiffy is also a black and tan Doberman who will be 2 years old 25 May 2000.
I met Tiffys previous family at Premuim Pet. They were talking to me about
Spencer and decided they did not want her any longer.
They did not know anything about Dobermans, also they had no clue how big a Doberman could get.
I beleive they thought they had a Min Pin, definitley two different dogs.
Tiffany is 22 inchs tall and wieghs about 75 lbs and is built like a brick wall with legs.
Tiffany has gone through two levels of agility and does an excellent job at it.
You can see it in her eyes how much she is trying to please us.
Tiffy is our little fair baby, she was in the Santa Clara County Fair during the summer of 1999.
She did really good for her age, she was the youngest one there competing.
After the fair we started playing frisbee for about an hour everyday. Now she is a frisbee champion.
